Products Description
Calcium nitrate tetrahydrate is primarily used in agriculture as a rapid-release nitrogen and calcium compound fertilizer, for improving acidic soils, rapidly supplementing nitrogen and calcium for crops, preparing nutrient solutions for soil-free cultivation, and enhancing fruit quality.
Usage
Quick-acting fertilizer:
Provides nitrate nitrogen (about 11.8%) and water-soluble calcium (about 23.7% CaO) that can be directly absorbed by plants, with fast fertilizer efficiency and no need for soil transformation.
Acid soil improvement:
Calcium ions neutralize soil acidity. Long-term application can improve soil structure, prevent compaction, and is suitable for acidic plots lacking calcium.
Physiological disease control:
Rapidly replenish calcium sources to prevent physiological disorders such as navel rot, fruit cracking, and leaf margin scorch caused by calcium deficiency, and enhance crop stress resistance.
Soilless cultivation substrate:
Due to its complete water solubility and stable ionic form, it is often used as the core calcium and nitrogen source for hydroponic/aeroponic nutrient solutions.
Quality and early maturity regulation:
Promoting the increase of fruit hardness, improvement of color, and acceleration of the ripening process, especially beneficial for melons, fruits, vegetables, and tuber crops.
